the happy couple

i have been really wanting to blog about my wedding day and honeymoon and my new life, but i have been busy since we got back from Monterey!  First i was sick and then Christmas shopping, organizing my new house, trying to find places to put all my new wedding presents have all taken over my life. not in a bad way, just in a busy way :)

first of all, i loooved my wedding.  the day went really well and i had an amazing time.  the hightlight for me was definitely the reception.  for me the reception started off with a bang because i was able to walk into the room and see all of my hard work come to fruition.  the room was beautiful.  it was glowing with all of the candles and the lighting we had hung accross the ceiling.  i loved my color scheme as well and the apples on every table just popped with a joyful splash of color. it was truly lovely. plus, i had SO MUCH FUN!  i danced the night away and completely enjoyed myself.  the food was great, our guests made it so special, and nathan and i had many happy moments together.  it really was a dream come true.

the best compliment i have received about our wedding was that it was a perfect blend of taking marriage seriously and being really fun.  i think we accomplished our goal :)

after our wedding, we were off to the hotel del for two nights.  (our hotel room was amazing- it was huge, luxurious, and had an ocean view!)  and then we were off to monterey for a trip full of fun, relaxation, and gorgeous views.  it was wonderful.

and now, i am loooving life as a married woman.  i thought i would have a much harder transition to married

our honeymoon in monterey

life since i moved, left the house i grew up in, and had to begin a whole new life.  but actually, the transition has felt really natural.  i love being with my husband every day.  i love not having to drive away at night and i love waking up with him and starting our days together.  i am loving making our home together.  i am just enjoying life!

i think i was really ready to move out of my parents house and to be a wife.  it just feels right.
